A large section of Badrinath National Highway was washed away on Wednesday as Lambagad Nalla came to spate due to excessive rain. The authorities restricted the traffic movement on the highway since afternoon and several vehicles coming towards the Badrinath Shrine were halted at Pandukeshwar and Lambagad.
The officials said that the continuous rain in the area was affecting the repairing work of the road due to which, the traffic remained restricted till late evening. The work will be resumed only after the rain stops, as per the officials.
