It is due to its sense of service that the Bharatiya Janata Party has emerged as the largest political party in the world with development reaching the last beneficiary. The BJP state president Madan Kaushik said this at the programme held to celebrate the party’s foundation day here on Tuesday.
Greeting the gathering which included party state in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam, chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat, former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat and others, Kaushik said that the BJP is an ideological party for which the person comes after the nation and organisation. He said that the address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president JP Nadda was heard at the booth to district levels in the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Gautam spoke about the journey from Jan Sangh to BJP while also elaborating on how to move forward with the strength of the people. CM Tirath Singh Rawat spoke about the progress made by the party since 1980. Referring to the founding leaders of the party, he recalled that Atal Bihari Vajpayee had said that the darkness will be dispelled, the sun will rise and the lotus will bloom. “The BJP’s lotus is now blooming across the nation,” said Rawat. Recalling Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ideologue Dattopanth Thengadi’s statement about the saffron flying high across the nation in the 21st century, Rawat said that the prediction is now being achieved under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. Ex CM Trivendra Singh Rawat also addressed the gathering on the occasion.
