Authorities exhumed the body of a married woman Farah from her grave in Dehradun following a complaint from her mother, Mumtaz, alleging murder by her in-laws. The exhumation took place on Wednesday under the supervision of the Tehsildar and documented with videography.
The Dehradun senior superintendent of police Ajai Singh said that the no visible injuries were found in postmortem examination but viscera samples were preserved for forensic analysis. After the examination, the body was reburied in the presence of family members.
The police are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of death and any potential criminal charges, he said.
