Body of warden missing in the EV trial run accident recovered

In latest news from Uttarakhand, the body of the wildlife warden Aloki who had gone missing after the new Electric Vehicle on its trial run turned turtle in the Chilla forest range in Rishikesh was found in the Shakti Nahar in the morning. Notably, four people, including two senior forest department officers, were killed in the accident. With the recovery of the warden’s body, the toll in the mishap rose to five. Police informed that the body had been found in the canal after water had receded in the morning. SDRF personnel retrieved the body and handed it over to police. The body was later sent for postmortem. Earlier, the SDRF personnel, equipped with state of the art searching techniques like SONAR and underwater drone, had remained engaged in the rescue operation for over two days. Besides, the divers, adept in scuba diving, were roped in the rescue operation, SDRF sources said.
