Cabinet approved Rs 4,096 crore supplementary budget
Various decisions were taken in the meeting of the state cabinet presided over by the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Monday. There was no official briefing due to the Vidhan Sabha being called into session.
According to sources, the cabinet approved Rs 4,096 crore supplementary budget to be tabled in the winter session of the Vidhan Sabha. In addition to this, it was also decided that as a one-time measure, the technical education board will facilitate recruitment of nurses in medical colleges during a one year period. In another important decision, the cabinet approved the decision to discontinue bank guarantee from PG doctors though they will have to sign the bond as in the past.
The cabinet also approved the electricity regulatory board regulations to be tabled in the Vidhan Sabha. Further, it was also decided that accounts of the UPCL for the years 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 will be tabled in the State assembly.
