CM directs officers to focus on improving health facilities in mountainous areas

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed the State administration to pay special attention to improve health facilities in the mountainous parts of the State. He said that the officers should take the problems raised by MLAs in their areas and resolve them on a priority basis.
The CM gave the instructions while reviewing the status of his announcements for the Assembly constituencies of Tharali, Karnprayag, Kedarnath, Rudraprayag and Devprayag here on Tuesday.
The CM asked the officers to ensure that projects that can be resolved quickly are not unnecessarily delayed. He warned that the officers responsible for unnecessary delays would be held accountable. He said that all departments should resolve public problems through mutual coordination.
While stressing that solving public problems is the State government’s top priority, the CM said that the officials should maintain constant coordination with public representatives to address public issues. He directed that efforts should be made to ensure timely availability of helicopter ambulances and improve health facilities in remote areas.
The CM said that the departmental secretaries concerned should prioritize the issues raised by the MLAs in the meeting. He said that pending cases of Forest department clearances related to the CM’s announcements should be reviewed separately. In the meeting the CM directed the chief secretary to organise a comprehensive review meeting before the onset of monsoon, keeping in mind the challenges of the rainy season. Flood control related work should be completed on time, he added.
Dhami also directed officers to ensure all preparations for the upcoming Chardham Yatra are completed on time. Meetings should be held periodically with the Hotel associations to resolve their concerns regarding commercial cylinders. All arrangements for the pilgrimage should be strengthened, he said.
Cabinet minister Bharat Chaudhary, Karnaprayag MLA Anil Nautiyal, Tharali MLA Bhupal Ram Tamta, Kedarnath MLA, Asha Nautiyal, Devprayag MLA Vinod Kandhari, chief secretary Anand Bardhan, principal secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram and secretaries of different departments attended the meeting.
