CM tells officers to focus on innovations to give an impetus to economy

 Chief minister inister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the officers of the State administration should focus on innovations to give a forward push to the economy of the State. The CM chaired a meeting in the State secretariat in which he reviewed the progress of the ‘Sashakt Uttarakhand @2025’ campaign. Dhami said that he had asked every department to work on two game changer schemes each in the last meeting. He said that all the department heads should present the progress made in this direction in the next meeting.

The CM said that the State government has set a target to double the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) by the year 2027. He said that all the departments should work on the short term, medium term and long term plans to achieve the target. The CM curtly told the officers to ensure that the works initiated by them produce results on the ground. He said that special focus on maintaining the quality of the work and its completion on time should be made. Dhami said that the secretaries concerned and the heads of the departments will be personally responsible for increasing the pace of the work in their departments. He said that it is the responsibility of the officers to ensure that the State moves forward at a fast pace in the direction of becoming a model State.

 Dhami said that the agriculture, power, tourism and AYUSH sectors have immense potential in the State and special focus should be made in these sectors. He said that work in grounding the investment proposals inked during the global investors meet should be done.

The vice president of State Infrastructure Monitoring Council Vishwas Dawar, deputy chairman of SETU Rajshekhar Joshi, additional chief secretary Anand Bardhan, principal secretary RK Sudhanshu, secretaries  R Meenakshi Sundaram, Shailesh Bagauli, Dilip Jawalkar, BVRC Purushottam, Pankaj  Kumar Pandey, Ranjit Sinham VS Pandey, SN Pandey and other senior officers attended the meeting.
