Asks officers for special focus on time limit for achieving the targets for 2025
The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has emphasised on regular monitoring and review of the works being done by different departments for fulfilling the mission of making Uttarakhand a leading State of the country by the year 2025. He directed the officers to keep a special focus on the time limit while completing the works for fulfilling the targets of the year 2025 mission. The CM took a review of different departments under the mission Empowered Uttarakhand @25 at the State secretariat on Saturday. He said that all the departments should implement the short term and the long term planning of their work plan on ground with full dedication.
The CM said that the new financial year has started and soon a review of the work plan, target and plan prepared to increase the revenue by all the departments for the financial year would be made. Emphasising on the need for making special efforts for improving the livelihood of the people residing in the mountainous parts of the State, the CM said that all the departments should work in a coordinated manner for this. He said that the State has great potential in the field of agriculture, horticulture and tourism and apart from a short term plan a long term plan till the year 2030 should be prepared for these sectors. Dhami said that new tourist spots should be developed in the Kumaon region so that the people visiting the State for the Char Dham Yatra can enjoy the natural beauty of Kumaon region also.
In the meeting, the CM directed the officials that more efforts are needed to encourage the local products of the state. He said that focus should be on branding and marketing of local products and work on apple and kiwi missions should be expedited. Dhami said that cultivation of aromatic plants should be promoted in hilly areas. In addition to degree courses in higher educational institutions in the state, attention should also be paid to conducting diploma courses related to skill development. The CM said that arrangements should be made for training the youth of the state in areas where the demand for skilled human resources has increased globally.
