CM tells officers to solve public complaints instead of complicating them

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has asked the officers to take the complaints of the general public seriously, adding that they should promptly solve the public grievances instead of complicating the issues. The CM said this in a meeting with the officers of the administration at Nainital Club in Nainital on Monday. He reviewed different departments and preparations made in the view of the upcoming monsoon period.

Warning the officers, the CM asked them to take responsibility for solving the problems of the general public. Dhami said that the priority of the State government is that the works of the general public are completed at a fast pace and they get better facilities. 

While reviewing the power department, the CM directed the chief engineer of UPCL to organise camps in the remote areas to address the complaints of overbilling .

Dhami said that this year double the number of pilgrims than last year have visited the Adi Kailash. He directed the Kumaon commission and MD of the KMVN to develop facilities for pilgrims coming for Adi Kailash Yatra. This year inner line permits to 15,000 pilgrims were issued for Adi Kailash. 

 The CM directed the officers that work such as patch work of roads, broadening and others should be completed before the arrival of monsoon in the State. He said that the Municipalities should complete the works of cleaning of drains before monsoon. Dhami said that necessary arrangements in health services, electricity and drinking water should be made so that people do not face problems in monsoon,

In the meeting the CM also directed the officers to undertake plantation drives during monsoon. 

The CM congratulated the administration for better arrangements this year at Kainchi Dham. He said that due to construction of permanent and temporary parking at Bhowali and Garampani the problem of traffic jams was solved.

He directed that the works of beautification and developing facilities at Kainchi Dham should be completed before the fair in the year 2025. Dhami said that construction of sanatorium by pass, road metalling and construction of Amrit Sarovar at Kainchi Dham should be done on priority.

In the meeting the Bhimtal MLA Ram Singh Kaida raised the issue of parking in Bhimtal. Taking prompt action the CM directed the officers to earmark parking spaces in Bhimtal.

 The meeting was attended by Kumaon commissioner Deepak Rawat, APCCF Vivek Pandey, district magistrate Vandana Singh, SSP PN Meena and others.
