Conference on digital humanities commences at UPES

The two day conference on Digital Humanities, its interdisciplinary approach, the scope and relevance in the Indian context started at the Kandoli campus of UPES on Thursday.
The School of Liberal Studies of the university is organizing the conference and it has invited eminent research scholars and experts from the leading Universities across the World in it.
Director Stanford Humanities Centre and holder of the Anthony P Meier Family Professorship in Humanities, Roland Greene chaired one of the sessions at the conference. His contribution to Digital Humanities is globally recognized. Lecturer in Literature Digital and the Creative Industries at Royal Holloway, University of London John Regan also chaired one of the sessions. Arjun Ghosh (IIT Delhi) and Vinayak Das Gupta (Shiv Nadar University) chaired different sessions and shared their valuable expertise in the area of Digital Humanities.
