Covid-19 fatalities mount to 1116 in U’khand
Nine deaths, 243 fresh cases reported on Monday
The death toll from the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Uttarakhand mounted to 1116 on Monday with the state health department reporting nine deaths from the disease. The department also reported 243 fresh cases of Covid-19 which increased the tally of the disease to 68458 on Monday. After their recovery from the disease, 441 patients were discharged from different hospitals of the state. A total of 62555 patients have so far recovered from the disease in the state. The recovery percent of the disease is now at 91.38 while the sample positivity rate is at 5.78 percent.
Four patients of the disease were reported dead at Sushila Tiwari government hospital on Monday. Two patients of Covid-19 expired at Mahant Indiresh hospital while one patient each died at district hospital Rudraprayag, HNB hospital Srinagar and Jaya Maxwell hospital Rudrapur on Monday.
Out of 441 patients discharged on Monday, 142 were from Nainital while 126 were from Dehradun.
The authorities reported 107 fresh cases of the disease from Dehradun, 24 from Nainital, 21 from Pauri, 18 from Haridwar, 15 from Almora, 14 from Udham Singh Nagar, 12 from Chamoli, nine from Champawat, seven each from Bageshwar and Tehri, six from Rudraprayag, two from Uttarkashi and one from Pithoragarh on Monday.
Uttarakhand now has 4184 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 993 active cases is at top of table while with 501 active cases Haridwar is now on second position. Pauri has 490, Udham Singh Nagar 323, Chamoli 321, Nainital 311, Tehri 246, Almora 231, Pithoragarh 219, Rudraprayag 182, Bageshwar 140 and Uttarkashi 130 active cases of the disease. With 97 active cases of Covid-19, Champawat is now at the bottom of the table.
