Noted leader of employees union Thakur Prahlad Singh died at his Dehradun residence on Monday. He was the patron of the State employees joint federation. The death of Singh elicited grief from all the employee unions and federations of the State.
The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and other leaders also expressed sorrow on the death of Singh.
The president of State employee’s joint federation, Arun Pandey said that the employees have lost a strong advocate of their causes with the demise of Singh. He said that Singh led the historic agitation of the employees in 2013 after which the employees got benefit of Assured Career Progression (ACP) at the end of 10, 16 and 26 years of service. Apart from this a dozen other demands of the employees were accepted by the government.
