The chairman of the Kumaon Garhwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI) Vineet Kumar Sangal has said that the Uttarakhand High Court (HC) stay on the order of Uttarakhand Environment Protection and Pollution Control Board (UEPPCB) has provided a huge relief to the industries in the State.
The Board on December 2 had imposed a ban on the industries which had not submitted the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) action plan with it and were not registered in the board. Sangal said that the order had put the industries of the State on verge of closure.
The KGCCI had filed a petition in the HC challenging the order of the board on December 9 which on Wednesday ordered a stay on it.
