Heavy rain warning issued for three districts

Some parts of the State continued to experience pleasant weather with light to moderate rain while some parts faced hot and humid weather on Friday. Meanwhile, the State meteorological centre has issued a warning (watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places in Chamoli, Bageshwar and Uttarkashi districts on Saturday. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and intense/very intense spells are likely to occur at isolated places in the State today. Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur at most places in the districts of the State today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience partly to generally cloudy skies today. Light to moderate rain / thundershowers are likely to occur in some areas while the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 33 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Friday were 32 degrees Celsius and 24.3 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 34 degrees Celsius and 24.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 22 degrees Celsius and 15.3 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 23.7 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. Light to moderate rainfall was witnessed in various parts of the State on Friday with 35.5 millimetres in Bajpur, 32 millimetres in Bhimtal, 16 millimetres in Rudrapur, 19.5 millimetres in Pantnagar and 4.5 millimetres in Kaladhungi.
