Heli- service for pregnant women from rain-ravaged areas

In latest Dehradun news, while reviewing the rain-induced disaster with the chief secretary, the additional chief secretary, other senior administrative officers and all the district magistrates at the State Secretariat, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stressed that helicopter service must be provided to the pregnant women from the disaster-affected areas. He also directed the officers concerned to ensure that those affected by the rain-triggered disaster are provided with the compensation amounts at the earliest. He also asked the officers concerned to start the repairing work involving the rain-wrecked roads across the State immediately after the monsoon season ends. Regarding Dehradun, he, however, said that the repairing works for the damaged roads must be started promptly.
The CM also reviewed the present situation with the district magistrates. The matters which figured in the review meeting included the rising level of the rivers, unabated incidences of landslides, blocked roads, loss of lives and damaged houses and compensation distribution among the affected people. Further, he directed them to ensure that the rain-ravaged rural roads get repaired along with the damaged stretches of the highways.
