Minimum temperature in Pantnagar drops lower than in Mukteshwar

The minimum temperature on Sunday in Pantnagar dropped lower than the minimum temperature in some mountainous towns like Mukteshwar. However, the maximum temperature in Pantnagar was higher than the maximum temperature in Dehradun. Cold wave like conditions are likely to continue in the State today. The State meteorological centre has forecast that dry weather is likely to prevail in the State’s districts on Monday. Further, shallow to moderate fog is likely to occur in some parts of Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts during the morning hours.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear sky with mist likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 23 degrees Celsius and six degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.

Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Sunday were 22 degrees Celsius and six degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 23.4 degrees Celsius and 3.2 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 11.7 degrees Celsius and 3.9 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 15.2 degrees Celsius and 2.3 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. The minimum temperature in Dehradun dropped one degree below normal. The maximum temperature in Pantnagar was a degree above normal while the minimum temperature was three degrees below normal. Similarly, the maximum temperature in Mukteshwar was three degrees below normal while the maximum and minimum temperatures were two degrees below normal in New Tehri on Sunday.
