In latest news from Uttarakhand, a police team led by the circle officer, Almora/ Ranikhet and Bhatrojkhand police station in-charge seized about five kg Ganja worth Rs 1.5 lakh in the market and took into custody a minor. A member of the team said that the minor had been identified as Usman and the bike he was riding to smuggle the narcotics was impounded. The bike was stopped by the vehicle checking team when it was moving on a forest track outside the boundary of the India Medical Pharmaceuticals Corporation Limited (IMPCL). A case under relevant sections of NDPS Act was lodged and the minor was sent to a juvenile home.
