Multiple roads remain blocked across State

A number of roads were blocked to traffic in various parts of the State on Friday. According to the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC), in Haridwar district 33 villages in Laksar Tehsil are flood affected while 14 villages in Haridwar Tehsil are affected ad 22 villages in Roorkee Tehsil with two villages in Bhagwanpur Tehsil are flood affected.
The authorities are providing relief and shelter to the affected families in these areas. Two State highways, three main district roads and three other roads were blocked in the district in addition to 12 rural motor roads. Two State highways, one main district road and 33 rural motor roads were blocked in Uttarkashi district, one national highway, four State highways, one main district road and 40 rural motor roads were blocked in Dehradun district and one State highway and 18 rural motor roads were blocked in Tehri district.
In Bageshwar district four rural motor roads were reported to be blocked while one State highway and 51 rural motor roads were blocked in Pauri district. Eight rural motor roads were blocked in Almora district, 17 rural motor roads were blocked in Chamoli district where one person died and one was injured in a car accident on the Dimmar-Karnprayag motor road. One State highway, one internal road and 14 rural motor roads were blocked in Nainital, one State highway and seven rural motor roads were blocked in Champawat and one border road and 12 rural motor roads were blocked in Pithoragarh district.
