In view of the reporting of the first case of the Omicron variant on the Covid-19 in the state, the chief secretary of Uttarakhand S S Sandhu took a meeting with the senior officers of the state on Thursday. In the meeting the guidelines issued by the government of India on Omicron variant were discussed.
The CS directed all the district magistrates and chief medical officers (CMO) to ensure that the beds in the hospital, oxygen and the medicines are available in all the hospitals. It was also decided to speed up the ongoing door to door survey for vaccination. The meeting was attended by secretary health, disaster management, Director General (DG) of state police and other officers.
