Patanjali has sent eight truck- loads of emergency relief materials and food items for the quake-affected people of Nepal. The founder of Patanjali Yogpeeth Swami Ramdev and its general secretary Acharya Balkrishna flagged off the trucks from Patanjali Food and Herbal Park in Haridwar on Friday. Ramdev said that standing by the disaster-struck people is the fulcrum on which Patanjali’s service-oriented network is based. “We consider it our sacred duty to go all-out to help suffering humanity.
Wherever natural calamity strikes-be it in Bihar or in Kedarnath-we rush there with humanitarian aid,” he said. Balkrishna said that they have dispatched about 50 tonnes of emergency relief material comprising tents, tarpaulin sheets, blankets, utensils, flour, rice, lentils, edible oil, salt, spices and soaps among others.
