Cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj laid the foundation stone of roads worth Rs 1.19 crores in his assembly constituency on Monday. He inaugurated a 4-km long Kunjkhal-Barsund Devta motorway costing Rs 109.76 lakh and Kolakhal-Jajedi motor road from Badolgaon costing Rs 10 lakhs under Pokhra block of his assembly constituency. He prayed to Barsund Devta for the all-around development of Uttarakhand and expressed his happiness in laying the foundation stone for the motorway.
On this occasion, Mandal president Mahipal Singh Negi, general secretary Prabhusharan Budakoti, senior Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Suyash Rawat, member of advisory tourism advisory committee Shailendra, president of Kisan Morcha Sunil Bhadola, Mahila Mangal Dal workers, and departmental officers were present along with former district president Pushkar Joshi.
