The children MLAs of various districts including Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Udham Singh Nagar, Champawat, Almora, Bageshwar, Nainital and Pithoragarh were also present in the meeting. He said that Khanna asked the MLAs in the meeting to be ready to ask questions in the second session of Bal Vidhan Sabha which is scheduled to commence in Gairsain in the first week of June. She directed them to send all such questions that they wish to ask the departments concerned. They must also submit the report explaining what they have done in the past one year as child MLAs. They can also offer suggestions to the government regarding their work in any specific field, said Singh.
He said that all child MLAs from the state assemblies will also organise question hour and review meetings of several departments of the Bal Vidhan Sabha. Bal Vidhan Sabha is conducted every year by the child commission to help children to learn democratic values and how to work with an open and transparent process in a government system. Several ministers and officials of several departments would also be present at the event in June, added Singh.
