Mukul Silswal, a student of Subhash Inter College in Thauldhar block of Tehri district secured the highest position in the class X board examination conducted by Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad by scoring 495 out of 500, a total of 99 per cent. Giving credit for his success to his family and teachers Mukul said his hard work with sole focus on the studies had resulted in him topping the merit list. For him, self study was the basic mantra for success.
Mukul says that to read carefully what is taught in the school, go home and revise it daily and get information about some additional subjects and paying attention to the subject where he was weak was the technique adopted by him.
Along with education, Mukul is also active in sports. His aim is to join the army and become an army officer and bring laurels to his family and the state by serving the nation.
