In latest news from Dehradun, the vice-chancellor of Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) Prof Rajendra Dobhal has been appointed president of the Uttarakhand chapter of National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI). Besides, professor of the department of Biotechnology, IIT Roorkee, Ranjana Pathania has been appointed secretary of the Uttarakhand chapter of NASI. The academicians hailing from Uttarakhand hailed the appointments and exuded hope that these would help scientists from Uttarakhand across different scientific disciplines.
Notably, NSAI facilitates coordination between government research institutions, departments and scientists to ensure that the new researches being conducted across the country are put to maximum use to raise the nation’s quality of life.
