While commenting on Atiq Ahmand and his brother Ashraf being shot dead in Uttar Pradesh, the former Uttarakhand chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat invoked Gita and said that what has happened has happened for the good of all. Accompanied by the Rajya Sabha member Kalpana Saini, he reached Pauri to a warm welcome from the party activists. He also said that if the pine trees can be rightly used this can ensure employment to 7000 people in the state. He said these trees are triggering forest fire. So, these should be rightly used for the benefit of the state and its people, he stressed. In view of the upcoming corporation and municipality elections, the RS member Kalpana Saini exhorted the party workers to work unitedly to ensure that the BJP gets more votes than earlier. She also stressed on the introduction of air ambulance in the hill areas so as to ensure that the sick are admitted to the higher medical centres at the earliest.
