UVSP improvement examination for high school & intermediate to end on July 24

The Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) has recently started the high school and intermediate result improvement examination for the year 2024, which will run till July 24. Stating this, the additional secretary of UVSP Vinod Simalti informed that the improvement examination for high school and intermediate students began on July 18 and will continue until July 24. He emphasised that this year marks the first improvement examination for the year 2024, along with the third-time improvement examination for the year 2023. Candidates are allowed to attempt the improvement examination under UVSP three times, he added.

Commenting about the total number of students registered for the improvement examination for the years 2023 and 2024, Simalti added that a total of 21,880 candidates have registered for the improvement examination this year. Out of these, 10,717 are high school candidates and 11,163 are intermediate candidates. He also informed that the maximum number of candidates from the Haridwar district registered for the UVSP improvement examination is 4964, and the minimum from Champawat is 369. Additionally, Simalti stated that improvement examinations will be conducted for nine subjects in high school and 27 subjects in intermediate. On July 18, improvement examinations for the high school Hindi subject were conducted, and intermediate, examinations for Sanskrit, Hindi and English were held. Additionally, on July 19, improvement examinations for the high school English subject were conducted and for Intermediate, examinations for History, Economics, Geography, Political Science and Military Science were held, he added.

It will be recalled that on April 30, the results for UVSP class X and class XII were declared. In class X, 89.14 per cent of the students passed the exam, with a passing percentage of 85.59 per cent for boys and 92.54 per cent for girls. Similarly, in class XII, 82.63 per cent of the students passed the exam, with a passing percentage of 85.96 per cent for girls and 78.97 per cent for boys.
