The Traffic directorate has issued a WhatsApp number to enable citizens to send their traffic related complaint or suggestions. Citizens can send their complaint or suggestion regarding the traffic to 7300207033. According to the public, citizens can communicate on this number for assistance regarding traffic jam/diversion, information about road accident or need for help in case of accident, suggestion regarding proper traffic management, information about traffic route, complaint related to traffic, information regarding Challan, information regarding Uttarakhadn traffic volunteers and other traffic related information.
The Traffic director Mukhtar Mohsin said that many people are unable to communicate their complaint, information or suggestion by e-mail, Facebook or Twitter. The WhatsApp number has been provided considering such people so that the common citizens are also able to communicate their information, complaint or suggestion to the Uttarakhand traffic police. He appealed to all citizens to communicate on issues related to traffic through the WhatsApp number so that it helps in improving the traffic situation in the State.
It is pertinent to mention here that despite various efforts being undertaken by the police, the traffic situation in provisional State capital Dehradun and other parts of the State continues to be affected by various problems. The WhatsApp number is the latest in the series of steps taken by the authorites to involve the public in redressal of issues hampering proper flow and management of traffic in the State.
