A woman was found dead on Motichoor flyover in Raiwala after a car allegedly hit her on Friday. The police informed that the police control room received information that a car had hit a woman. When the police arrived at the accident scene, the woman was found dead.
The police said that the deceased appeared to be a mentally challenged person. According to the police, the locals informed that the driver of a car allegedly hit the woman while driving towards Dehradun from Haridwar after she suddenly appeared in front of his car. The police said that the driver fled the scene after the accident and they are still looking for him.
The police said that the body of the deceased was sent for the postmortem in a government hospital in Haridwar after the Panchanama. Since the body is unidentified, the police stated that the post-mortem will be done after 72 hours as per rules. The police said they are investigating the matter and looking for the absconding driver.
