1.84 crore vaccine doses administered in U’khand

The State Health department has so far administered 1.84 crore vaccine shots as the first and second dose of Covid-19 vaccine. The department claims that the first dose of the vaccine has been administered to 100 per cent of the eligible population while the second dose has been administered on 94.7 per cent of the population.
The Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the campaign to administer free precaution dose to 18 to 59 year age group population has started in the State. He said that 100 per cent of the population has been administered the first dose of the vaccine in the State while the national average is 95.7 per cent. He said that 94.7 per cent people who had got the first dose have also been given the second dose of the vaccine in the state which is higher than the national average of 84.1 per cent.
The minister further informed that 97.4 per cent children between 12 to 14 years of age have been administered with the first dose of vaccine while 68.1 per cent have received the second dose as well. The minister said that the pandemic of Covid-19 has not ended as yet and everyone should continue taking necessary precautions against the disease. He said that the campaign to administer the free precaution dose to the 18 to 59 years of age population has started in the state and everyone should come forward for the vaccination.
