A day after the Prime Minister Narendra Modi warned Pakistan of befitting reply to its proxy war waged through terrorism on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, one jawan was killed while four army personnel, including an officer of the Major rank, were injured when the security forces engaged terrorists in an encounter in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Army sources said that one terrorist was killed too in the encounter, adding that operations were being carried out to flush out the terrorists.
