112 women tested for Anaemia on 1st day of campaign

In latest news from Uttarakhand, under the Pulse Anaemia Maha Abhiyan meant to prevent Anaemia in pregnant women, women are getting themselves tested at B D Pandey Hospital. The ASHA workers are testing the pregnant women of their respective areas for hemoglobin and blood deficiency at the district hospital. On the first day of the campaign, 112 pregnant women were tested for Anaemia out of whom three were found to have moderate Anaemia while seven were found to have mild Anaemia and it was not found in 102 women.
The District Hospital in-charge PMS Dr Draupadi Garbyal said that under the campaign, the pregnant women are being tested for Anaemia in four categories normal, mild, moderate and severe. The campaign would continue till February 10.
