The state health department reported 12 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and nine recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Saturday. No death from the disease was reported in the state on the day. On Friday the department had reported only three cases of the disease.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,939 while a total of 3,30,241 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7401 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 virus till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96.02 per cent while the sample positivity rate on Saturday was 0.17 per cent.
The state health department reported seven new patients from Dehradun, two from Uttarkashi and one each from Champawat, Haridwar and Pauri on Saturday. No new case of Covid-19 was reported from the remaining nine districts on the day.
The state now has 146 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 104 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Rudraprayag, Tehri and Pauri have no active cases of the disease now.
In the ongoing vaccination drive 10,261 people were vaccinated in 346 sessions in the state held on Saturday.
