12 new Covid cases from 3 districts, zero new cases in 10 districts on Sunday

The State Health department reported 12 new Covid-19 cases and recovery of 23 patients from the infection in the State on Sunday. There are 330 active cases of Covid in the case at present with the recovery rate being 95.85 per cent. According to the department the new Covid cases were reported from three of the 13 districts on Sunday. These include nine in Dehradun, one in Bageshwar and two in Pauri district while no new cases were reported from the remaining 10 districts of Almora, Chamoli, Champawat, Haridwar, Nainital, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi.
It should be mentioned here that the total cumulative positive Covid-19 cases detected in the State since January 1 this year are 91,954 out of which 88,142 (95.85 per cent) were cured. A total of 272 (0.30 per cent) Covid patients have died in the state since January 1. When it comes to the number of active cases at present, Dehradun district has 94 while there are 48 active cases in Haridwar, 35 in Nainital, 37 in Pithoragarh, 30 in Pauri, seven in Almora, one in Bageshwar, 18 in Chamoli, 22 in Champawat, three in Rudraprayag, two in Tehri, 31 in Udham Singh Nagar and two in Uttarkashi district. Meanwhile, the vaccination programme has also continued in the state. A total of 236 sessions were held on Sunday in which 1,728 persons were vaccinated against Covid-19. The total number of beneficiaries partially vaccinated is 85,97,995 while 80,04,151 have been fully vaccinated. Further, 4,13,216 persons have been administered the precaution dose.
