12th ‘Kitab Kautik’ to commence at GBPUAT on Nov 8

In latest news from Doon, GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in Pantnagar is all set to host a three-day book fair as part of the ‘Kitab Kautik Drive’ based on the theme ‘Development of Uttarakhand through farming in the hills’ on November 8. Informing this, the dean of the university Anand Singh Jeena said that the unique book fair as part of the unique drive to take books to the remotest corners of the mountainous State would prove pivotal in arousing love of books among people irrespective of ages, particularly the children and youngsters who now choose to stay glued to their mobile phones.
“We are now awaiting the 12th edition of the drive to be held here impatiently,” he said, adding that Creative Uttarakhand and General Vipin Rawat Research School based in Pantnagar are organising it. He further said that a number of eminent writers, researchers, social activists and publishers would reach Pantnagar to attend the event.
