13 deaths, 448 new cases & 1,013 recoveries reported on Monday

The death toll from the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Uttarakhand mounted to 1,426 on Monday with the state health department registering the death of 13 patients. The department also reported 448 fresh cases of the disease on the day which increased the tally of the disease to 86,765. The authorities discharged 1,013 patients from different hospitals on Monday after their recovery. A total 78,686 patients have recovered from the disease so far and the recovery percentage now stands at 90.69 and the sample positivity rate is 5.31 percent. 

Three patients of Covid-19 were reported dead at  Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital in Dehradun on Monday. Similarly two patients each were reported dead at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh, Himalayan hospital Dehradun and Sushila Tiwari Government hospital Haldwani on the day. One patient each was reported dead at Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun, Max hospital Dehradun, Velmed hospital Dehradun and Neelkanth hospital Haldwani on Monday.

The authorities reported 157 new cases of Covid-19 from Dehradun, 113 from Nainital, 39 from Uttarkashi, 31 from Haridwar, 23 from Tehri, 19 from Pithoragarh, 14 from Rudraprayag, 12 from Almora, 11 from Pauri, 10 each from Udham Singh Nagar and Champawat, seven from Bageshwar and two from Chamoli.

In what can be termed as good news, the authorities discharged 1,013 patients from different hospitals after their recovery on Monday. Maximum number of 276 patients was discharged from Dehradun followed by Nainital (150) and Pithoragarh (93).

Uttarakhand now has 5584 active cases of the disease. Dehradun is at continuing to remain at top of the table of active cases with 1466 cases while with 1160 active cases Nainital is at second spot. Haridwar is at third spot with 425 active cases. Pithoragarh has 416, Almora 305, Pauri 300, Uttarkashi 299, Tehri 292, Chamoli 262, Udham Singh Nagar 224, Bageshwar 155 and Champawat 146 active cases of the disease. With 134 active cases of Covid-19, Rudraprayag is now at the bottom of the table of active cases of Covid-19.
