139 new cases of Covid-19 found in U’khand

 The State Health department reported a staggering 139 new cases of the Covid-19 on Tuesday. This incidentally is the highest number of cases of the disease in the last many months. The State now has 350 active cases of the disease.

  The authorities reported 69 new cases of Covid-19 from Dehradun on Tuesday.  The department found 28 new cases of the disease in Nainital, nine each in Uttarkashi and Udham Singh Nagar, six in Haridwar, five in Almora, four each in Bageshwar and Pithoragarh, three in Champawat and two in Pauri.  No new cases of the disease were reported from Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Udham Singh Nagar districts on the day.  

The authorities declared 88 patients recovered from the disease on Tuesday.  The department has so far detected 1409 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year in the State. A total 1050 patients have recovered from the disease so far. A total of nine patients have lost their lives from the disease from January 1 this year in the state.  

The State now has 350 active patients of Covid-19 with Dehradun leading the table with 111 active cases of the disease followed by Nainital which has 81 active cases of the disease.
