The Congress MLA from Manglaur assembly constituency of Haridwar Qazi Nizamuddin has claimed that 14 ventilators bought last year for the Roorkee government hospital are still lying under wraps in the hospital. In a statement released in social media, the Congress leader who is Covid-19 positive and is in home quarantine alleged that these ventilators were brought in the Roorkee hospital in June 2020 and they are yet to be made operational.
Accusing the BJP government of its inhuman attitude and pathetic approach he said that it is unfortunate that on one hand people are dying of lack of oxygen and ventilators, the ventilators in Roorkee hospital are not in use.
