1,470 vaccinated on Sunday, 54 new cases reported in State
A total of 1,470 beneficiaries were vaccinated against Covid-19 in the State on Sunday. On the same day 54 persons tested positive for Covid and one patient of the disease recovered while no deaths were reported.
According to information provided by the health department, the beneficiaries were vaccinated in 44 sessions on Sunday. The cumulative number of beneficiaries vaccinated in the state so far is 1,15,648 while the cumulative sessions held for vaccination so far is 2,090. Meanwhile, the total number of active cases of Covid-19 in the state currently stands at 687 while the recovery percentage is 96.12 per cent. Of the total cumulative positive Covid cases detected in the state – 96,820 a total of 93,061 persons have recovered so far. Of the Covid patients, 1,680 have died in the state so far which is about 1.74 per cent of the total cases. Of the positive cases reported on Sunday, 26 are from Dehradun district, 12 from Nainital, nine from Haridwar, six from Udham Singh Nagar and one from Champawat district.
Not a single Covid positive case was reported on the day from Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Uttarkashi districts. Further, according to official data, out of the 687 active Covid-19 cases in the state, 134 are in Haridwar district, 101 in Nainital district and 81 in Almora district. Among the other districts, there are 52 active cases in Bageshwar, 28 in Chamoli, 16 in Champawat, 75 in Dehradun, 31 in Pauri, 45 in Pithoragarh, 19 in Rudraprayag, 26 in Tehri, 65 in Udham Singh Nagar and 14 in Uttarkashi.
