Only 1,026 active cases of Covid left in the state now

The state health department reported the death of one patient from Covid 19 and detected 156 new cases of the disease in Uttarakhand on Wednesday. The authorities declared 206 patients cured on the day which reduced the active case count to 1,026 on Wednesday.
The department has so far detected 90,865 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 86,400 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 257 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.09 per cent on Wednesday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 1.56 per cent on the day.
The authorities reported the death of one patient in Haridwar district on Wednesday.
The health department reported 53 new patients from Dehradun, 17 from Rudraprayag, 16 from Chamoli and 15 from Haridwar on Wednesday. Only one patient was found in Tehri district on the day.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 1026. Haridwar with 218 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Champawat has 123 active cases of the disease. Bageshwar is at the bottom of the table with 10 active cases. In the ongoing vaccination drive 12,543 people were vaccinated in 834 sessions in the state held on Wednesday.
