156 roads still blocked in State, bridle path to Kedarnath yet to be restored

The State has experienced a respite from heavy rains and resulting disasters for a couple of days now though a total of 156 roads are still blocked in various parts of the State.  According to the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC), in the Rudraprayag district, the Rudraprayag- Kund national highway 107 is open for traffic till Kund. The Kund bridge is closed to heavy and light vehicles due to erosion along its abetment. The Sonprayag-Gaurikund-Kedarnath bridle path is still closed due to landslides at Lincholi with the reconstruction works underway. A total of 12 rural motor roads and two pedestrian bridges are blocked in the district. The national highways to Gangotri and Yamunotri are open in the Uttarkashi district though two State highways and nine rural motor roads are blocked in the district. One State highway and 10 rural motor roads are blocked in the Nainital district while 12 rural motor roads are blocked in the Bageshwar district. One State highway and seven rural motor roads are blocked in the Dehradun district. One border road and 21 rural motor roads are blocked in the Pithoragarh district hwile one rural motor road is blocked in the Almora district. Four rural motor roads are blocked in the Champawat district while one State highway and one rural motor road are blocked in Udham Singh Nagar district. One State highway and seven rural motor roads are blocked in Pauri district while 17 rural motor roads are blocked in the Chamoli district. Similarly, 11 rural motor roads are blocked in the Tehri district.
