1631 students receive degrees at Shri Venkateshwara University’s 10th convocation

The tenth convocation of Shri Venkateshwara University was held in the Meerut campus of the institute on Friday during which 1631 students of the 2024 batch of UG, PG and PhD were awarded degrees. Besides, 24 students were presented gold medals, 23 silver medals and two the chancellor’s medal.

Inaugurated by the Uttar Pradesh minister of sugarcane development Sanjay Singh Gangwar, it saw ‘Dikshant Shobha Yatra’ led by NCC cadets and PAC soldiers of the 28th Battalion.  

In his address, Gangwar exhorted the students to equip themselves with the qualities of head and heart and contribute to the welfare of their families, states and nation.  The chancellor Sudhir Giri in his address expressed gratitude to the parents of the students for having reposed their confidence in the university.  The pro- chancellor Rajiv Tyagi urged the students to stand out from the crowd and establish their identity while the vice- chancellor Krishna Kant Dave recounted the university’s transformational works done in the fields of education and health over the past five years.
