The state health department reported the death of one patient from Covid 19 and detected 171 new cases of the disease in Uttarakhand on Tuesday.
The department has so far detected 90,709 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 86,194 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 257 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.02 per cent on Tuesday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 1.61 per cent on the day.
The authorities reported the death of one patient at Synergy hospital Dehradun on Tuesday.
The health department reported 76 new patients from Dehradun, 18 from Haridwar and 13 from Pauri on Tuesday. No case was reported from Chamoli while three patients each were detected in Bageshwar and Tehri districts on the day.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 1079. Champawat with 226 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 204 active cases of the disease. Bageshwar is at the bottom of the table with 11 active cases. In the ongoing vaccination drive 18,016 people were vaccinated in 864 sessions in the state held on Tuesday.
