The state health department of Uttarakhand reported 19 new patients of the Covid-19 in the state on Tuesday. Death of no patient was reported in the state on the day. The authorities also declared nine patients cured from the disease on the day. The department has so far detected 92,739 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 88,128 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 275 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 96.11 per cent on Tuesday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 1.11 per cent on the day. The health department reported nine new patients each from Dehradun, three each from Haridwar and Tehri and one each from Almora, Bageshwar, Nainital and Pauri on Tuesday. No cases were reported from Chamoli, Champawat, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi districts on the day.
The number of active patients of Covid-19 in the state was at 77 on Tuesday. Dehradun with 46 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar and Nainital have eight and six active cases of the disease respectively. Champawat and Pithoragarh now have no active cases of the disease. In the ongoing vaccination drive 16,062 people were vaccinated in 812 sessions in the state held on Tuesday.
