2-day workshop on inclusive education commences at Birla Vidya Mandir

Noted educationist Geeta Shukla from Dehradun inaugurated a two-day workshop titled Capacity Building based on inclusive education under the aegis of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at Birla Vidya Mandir here on Wednesday. A total of 50 teachers from different schools are participating in the workshop.
In her address, Shukla said that thanks to the changes in the domain of education in this globalised era, it has become imperative for teachers to adapt themselves according to the requirement of time. “The teachers will have to expand their knowledge to appropriately educate the children,” she added.
The principal of Shri Guru Nanak Public School, Ramnagar, Himanshu Joshi trained the teachers on various methods being developed in the field of education. The training is intended to enable the teachers to motivate and mentally prepare students to participate in academic and extra-curricular activities alike, he said. The principal of Birla Vidya Mandir, Anil Kumar Sharma said that in the internet era, teachers’ knowledge should be accurate and factual.
Apart from teachers from Nainital, those from Ramnagar, Bhimtal, Haldwani, Lalkuan, Kaladhungi and Naukuchiatal were present at the workshop.
