In a road mishap in Almora, two persons were killed and another was injured when the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road near Dhaulchhina and plunged into a 200- meter deep gorge. Upon being informed, SDRF personnel swung into operation and pulled the injured out of the mangled vehicle. The two bodies were handed over to the district police. The two deceased were identified as Manoj Singh Bisht and Ajay Singh Bisht while Pushkar Singh Bhandari, resident of Naugaon, Almora was the person injured.
