In latest news from Doon, two persons were killed in an accident when a truck laden with mining materials collided with three cars standing at Lacchiwala toll plaza in Doiwala on the Dehradun-Haridwar highway. Upon being informed, police and SDRF teams rushed to the spot and pulled out the bodies of the two deceased from the mangled cars.
The deceased have been identified as Ratanmoni Uniyal, resident of Raipur, Dehradun, and Pankaj Kumar. The details of the latter were being collected, police said, adding that the driver of the truck had been arrested.
