Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni informed that the railways is according priority to work aimed at starting the operation of two new Jan Shatabdi Express trains between Uttarakhand and New Delhi by the end of February. The MP shared on social media that the Union Railways minister Piyush Goyal had informed him that the ministry had agreed to the names Baluni had suggested from the Jan Shatabdi Express trains proposed from Kotdwar and Tanakpur to New Delhi. Baluni had suggested that the train between Kotdwar and New Delhi be named Siddhbali Jan Shatabdi Express while the train between Tanakpur and New Delhi be named Purnagiri Jan Shatabdi Express. The railways is also working to start the operation of these two trains by the end of this month, added Baluni. The MP thanked the Union Railway minister for these developments.
