In latest news from Uttarakhand, asphaltisation, widening and repairing projects of stretches of two important roads as announced by the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami during his Nainital visit have been given the financial and administrative clearance and a token amount has been allocated too to speed up things. These two roads are the stretch from Bhowali Sanatorium to Naini Bend under the part 2 of the Bhowali bypass and the eight kilometer stretch from Bhowali Sanatorium to Sirori motor road of the Kainchi Dham bypass. While Rs 11.62 crore has been approved for the first Rs 12.14 crore has been approved for the second. The travel time of the devotees for Kainchi Dham would be significantly shortened from next year aside from benefiting the people of Bhowali on completion of these road improvement projects. Sharing details, the Nainital district magistrate Vandana said that the joint secretary of Secretariat Administration Shyam Singh had sent the administrative letter to the chief engineer of the public works department Haldwani, informing the approval of the amounts to be used for the road improvement projects as announced by the CM.
