In latest news from Uttarakhand, Guari Rawat and Varidhi Agarwal, students of class 12 at Welham Girls’ School, presented a Bharatanatyam performance that was highly appreciated during their Arangetram. Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were the renowned Kathak exponent Leena Malakar Vij, the secretary, department of culture Bina Bhatt and the former principal of Welham Girls’ School Jyotsna Brar.
Trained under their Guru Shrimati CK Rajalakshmi who has had the rare achievement of producing stellar performers and conducted over 30 Arangetrams, the dancers exhibited an extremely high level of competence in the three-hour long performance, senior functionaries of the school said.
