2022 Assembly polls: Cong to appoint in-charge in all constituencies
In its endeavour to contest the assembly elections of 2022, the Uttarakhand Congress would appoint in-charges in all the districts and the assembly segments. Talking to the media persons at the state headquarters of the party here on Tuesday, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Pritam Singh said that elaborate discussions and brainstorming was held during the three day visit of the state in charge of the party Devendra Yadav and the roadmap for the party was planned. He said that the party is ready for the elections and for it responsibilities would be distributed and in charges would be appointed. The PCC chief said that though it is not proper to talk about the elections every now and then and the Congress party is ready to give its contribution for building the state. He added that the Trivendra Singh Rawat government has failed on every front and people of the state are closely monitoring its activities. Singh said that the Congress party has plenty of issues which this failure of the government has provided to it.
Informing about the party’s plan to hold Dharna outside Gandhi Park on the call given by the party president Sonia Gandhi against the Hathras incident, the PCC president said that daughters are not safe in the country. He said that the party which had given the slogan of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ has failed to protect the daughters and the incident of Hathras is an example of this failure. The Congress leader said that atrocities against the Dalits are increasing in the country and in view of the situation the Congress president has given a call to the Congressmen all over the country to organise protests on November 5.
